Farewell to Class of 2012

Another batch of Class X was given farewell by the Class IX students and the school on 21 Feb '12. Looking back I now realize that I completed 21 years of teaching Class X and 25 years at WPS. What made my day more memorable was that two of my ex-pupils of the first batch I taught Class X (1992) visited me. My meeting with them (Raghu Oddiraju & Radha ramani) brought back many memories connected with the school and MY STUDENTS !!! In fact my spirits rose high!!! Than Q children !!

I shared my feelings with the out going batch and told them of Gandhiji's saying

"It is enough to do our part well - our duty is to strive, in the end, it will be as God wishes."

So very true because Success and Failure are not in our hands. All one can do is to put in the best in everything one does and leave the rest to Almighty...

I wish each one of them Good Luck for their Exams and pray that they are ever HAPPY !!! KEEP SMILING CHILDREN !!!

Independence Day 2011

Independence Day at school was celebrated with the usual gaeity and enthusiasm. We had the regular March Past, Pyramid formation, Patriotic songs, speeches, etc. An unusual feature this year was that many Ex-students (more than 30) turned up for the celebrations. They said that they were badly missing their Almamater. Kudos to WPS!!!

TO SIR, WITH LOVE

CHAIRMAN SRI. V.RAJESHWAR RAO GARU breathed his last in the early hours on 24th July 2011. His demise is a great loss not just to his family but society as a whole.

The Chairman Sri.V.Rajeshwar Rao was a former M.P (Rajya Sabha), an agriculturist and eminent Educationalist. Sri.V.Rajeshwar Rao was a person of immense stature and all three sister concerns of KITS stand proudly because of his unrelented and tireless efforts. Being a visionary, he started a Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science in Hanamakonda way back in 1980 to cater to the needy along with a Junior College and a school of high standards Warangal Public School. He was a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly (1972-78) and the Legislative Council (1980-85). He was also a member of various development bodies at Samithi, District and State levels. In his capacity as Rajya Sabha member, he was appointed as a member on various committees like Committee on Industry, Committee on Urban and Rural Development, etc. He was the Election-In-Charge for the former Prime Minister Late.Sri.P.V.Narasimha Rao during 1991 and 1996 general elections. He is a philanthropist to the core. Apart from constructing a Balaji temple with Kalyanamandapam (Community hall) for the benefit of public at his native Village Singapur, many needy students are being helped liberally to pursue higher studies. He was a constant source of support and inspiration to many a people. A prescient patriarch, his veteran touch is evident in every institute he has established.

We whole heartedly pray that God may give courage and strength to his family to bear the loss.

WE MISS YOUR PRESENCE SIR....WE SHALL REMEMBER YOU ALWAYS....MAY YOUR SOUL REST IN PEACE..

BOARD EXAM RESULTS 2011

The CBSE has announced the Results yesterday. As usual, we have produced 100% pass results. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced a new scheme of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation popularly known as CCE for class IX and class X. The first batch of students under the new scheme have taken their Summative Test II (Board Exams) in March 2011. 41 out of 92 appeared secured a CGPA of 10/10 and 90 out of 92 secured a CGPA of more than 9/10. That's an excellent performance and I hope the next batch will equal it if they can't do better.
WELL DONE CHILDREN!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!YOU HAVE INDEED MADE US PROUD!!!!!!
